"And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty."- 2 Corinthians 6:18
Today I attended a family reunion for my mom's side of the family. As people in the family reconnected and reminisced, I couldn't help but think about Heaven and how we will have a reunion there with the Family of God. As followers of Christ, we have been adopted in God's family and made His sons and daughters. On the day when we all finally reach Heaven and see God in all of His amazing majesty, we will all be together as the family of God. We will be able to worship our Creator together and bow down before Him. This is something I cannot wait to do.
Another thing I thought about was how there are so many other followers of Christ in my life that I consider to be my family. I know I can go to them for anything, and through the good and bad, they will be there for me. This is what God calls us as believers to do for each other. We are called to be there for our brothers and sisters in Christ and to live our lives together.
I am so thankful that God has blessed me with both my real family, and my faith family. He is amazing, and deserves all the glory for that!
